Visiting restrictions

Tallaght Hospital is currently restricting visiting as part of infection prevention and control measures in response to a recent infection outbreak and in an effort to reduce pressure on services as follows:

One visitor only per patient is permitted during designated visiting hours (Adult Hospital visiting hours are from 2pm-4pm and 6.30pm - 8.30pm)

  • Children are not permitted to visit in any circumstances.
  • Parents/Guardians of paediatric inpatients are allowed to visit as normal as the paediatric unit is not affected.

Tallaght Hospital is appealing to the public for their support in observing these restrictions and we would like to acknowledge the co-operation of the public in advance.

As always, patients with non-urgent requirements are urged to seek advice from their local GP before presenting to Tallaght Hospital Emergency Department.
