Tallaght Hospital Library was established in 1998 when the Adelaide Hospital, the Meath Hospital, the National Children’s Hospital and St. Loman’s Hospital merged to form the Adelaide and Meath Hospital inc. the National Children’s Hospital.
Tallaght Hospital Library serves hospital staff and Trinity staff and students based in the Hospital. It has places for 40 readers. It has a broad collection of books covering the full range of medicine and surgery undergraduate textbooks. It also includes a wide range of other health care disciplines and topics.

All registered medical undergraduates and staff based in the Trinity Centre Campus in Tallaght Hospital may use the Library facilities.
Undergraduate readers can check out items from the collection. Staff and research postgraduates can borrow material from the SJR collection. Borrowers can also renew checked out material to extend the period of their loan and reserve items that are already out on loan to other patrons.
